The following inline “taut cable” style switch has 2 NC contacts and 1 NO contact with Positive Break and Positive Transfer features making it particularly competent for use in Emergency Stop applications as well as for ordinary circuit control.
The housing is made from high quality yellow nylon. Set-up position is easily attained by using the color coded cable status indicator. Cable is stretched tightly until the green band is aligned with hub end. Switch will trip and latch if the cable breaks, comes loose or is pulled. The blue reset handle is pulled to reset contacts back to their normal operating configuration. There is no mounting necessary for this device. This switch will hang in-line with the cable run. A red LED pilot light comes installed and wired on this model.
The switch comes pre-wired for quick and easy installation and utilizes an 8 pin M12 connector. The maximum cable recommended cable length is 200 feet in each direction with a maximum interval support of 10 feet.
The mechanical life of the switch is 100,000 operations.
Typically found on process applications such as conveyors, transfer machines or assembly lines within the automotive, machine tool, foundry and pharmaceutical industries this switch provides a constant access for emergency or normal stopping.
The rugged construction and long term reliability makes this cable pull switch well suited to function within various environments.
